MGP 2023 // My top 9

1. Elsie Bay - Love You In A Dream

My absolute number one! Elsie's voice is so distinguish and sweet. "Love You In A Dream" is such a beautiful song and we can tell that Elsie's much more confident than last year. The odds are not on her favour, but I really hope she does well. 

2. Eline Thorp - Not Meant To Be

I fell in love with this song right away! And Eline's the sweetest! 

I gives everything in her performance and I think it works perfectly on stage.

3. Alessandra - Queen Of Kings

This song is such a BOP! It might win the whole thing and I won't be mad about it! Alessandra deservers it! "Queen of Kings" would work so well on the Eurovision stage.

4. Atle Petterson - Masterpiece 

If Atle wins I would be very happy as well. He's very competent and he absolutely delivers on stage. What a great performance. The song is good and he has the charisma the Norway needs to do well in ESC.

5.Swing' It - Prohibition 

This was a moment! They're great! Love their energy and let's be honest... this song is good! 

6. Jone - Ekko Inni Meg

This song is catchy and it might be a big surprise during the voting. I hope they would add more action in choreography, lightning or something to make it look more energetic.

7. Skrellex - Love Again

Skrellex is very passionate and it shows that he wants to represent Norway in ESC. Loved his performance and charisma!

8. Ulrikke - Honestly 

Ok, let's be honest... this song it's not that good. We've heard this before from so many other countries. It's basic...

And the whole story about she didn't make it in 2020. Just get over it. It was 3 years ago. Many artits didn't make it because of Covid. Build a bridge and get over it.

9. Umami Tsunami - Geronimo

I just didn't connect with this song... I wouldn't have this song in the final, but...

Eline didn't disappoint! This is such a good entry! Heat 3 is going to be fire! So many strong songs!

"Not meant to be" is going be performed live next Saturday in MGP's heat 3.

 

Maria Celin - FREYA (Audio) // MGP 2023

YES, YES, YES! Can we all agree this is winning material? This song has definitely a huge potential! The beat, the epicness of the chorus and the vocals are pure gold!

Maria Celin is going to perform in MGP heat 3, next Saturday and I'm positive she's going to get the golden ticket to the final!

Elsie Bay - Death of Us (Melodi Grand Prix 2022, Final)

I still can't get over the fact that 'Death Of Us' didn't win MGP. She had by far the best performance of the night.

This was just epic. Huge improvement from the Semi-Final, extremely well prepared! The song itself is just a pure masterpiece. 

 

Subwoolfer - Give That Wolf A Banana / Norway 2022

The Norwegian public voted on their winner: Subwoolfer will head to Turin in May with the song ‘Give That Wolf A Banana’. For me they should not have won MGP, but this sure is unique, goofy and positive. Perhaps it's what Norwegians wanted this year. 

I am sure this will qualify!

 

Subwoolfer - Give That Wolf A Banana / MGP 2022

Subwoolfer are pre-qualified and automatically in the final. I'm actually very excited to see them perform this song. They're going to perform in the fourth semi-final on 5 February 2022.

I unironically like this song and I think it might be a big surprise. It's so catchy!

 

NorthKid - Someone / MGP 2022

"Someone" by NorthKid is already in the final. Loving this, such a beautiful song and a great live performance. 

 

Vilde - Titans (MGP 2022)

Vilde is participating in the third Melodi Grand Prix semi-final, which takes place on the 29th of January. 

Winner of demi 3.

Farida - Dangerous (MGP 2022)

Farida is participating in the second Melodi Grand Prix semi-final, which takes place on the 22th of January.

The Qualifier of Semi-Final 2 by far!
