"Likes"

His BF liked a picture on social media that made hum feel a little bit uncomfortable. 

First he though "Is he so un-evolved that he can't resist the allure of an almost naked man pic or wtv? Obviously he liked the photo or the video because he liked what he saw; he understands that, but he still doesn't get it." he really doesn't! 

He is still unsure whether his reaction was warranted. He's still not confident enough of whose perspective, was more in need of adjusting. 

The thing is that he can be on Instagram, Facebook or twitter mindlessly liking pictures all day. Maybe his bf too. 

He truly understands his BF point; even in the thick of love, a living, breathing human being can still notice if a person is attractive or not. 

A friend, once, told him that she'd be more comfortable with a celebrity pic, but liking a picture of someone they know would definitely feel pretty disrespectful.  

The thing is that there's really no right or wrong answer here. People must have an open and honest discussion with their partner about what counts as disrespect to them. 

Maybe it's jealousy. Maybe it's just the feeling of not being appreciated.
